About Dr. Wang

Dr. Wang is a practicing naturopathic doctor with offices in Palo Alto and Sausalito, California.  Her practice helps people recover from various chronic illnesses.  Favorite areas of emphasis include IBS and all inflammatory bowel diseases, psychiatric conditions such as anxiety and depression, Neurological conditions such as Autism & ADD/ADHD, pain including migraines, arthritis and fibromyalgia and the common stress related illnesses such as fatigue, insomnia and brain fog.

You may be wondering how she can deal with all these varied conditions effectively.  Her approach has 3 major steps:

  1. Take a long, detailed intake and try to piece together the underlying cause of the current set of symptoms.  The symptoms are almost always related to each other.  So your migrating pain and fatigue and lack of exercise tolerance and insomnia all can have one or two common origins.
  2. Testing of hypothesis.  After she narrows down the likely underlying causes of the complaints she tests for confirmation.  Her testing is also goes more in-depth than the conventional blood work most people get from their doctors.
  3. Treat the Cause by changing lifestyle, detoxify, heal and deal with emotional causes.  This takes the longest and is a learning process for the patient.  Over the days, weeks or months of healing and recovery patients learn about how to take care of their body based on their specific needs, weaknesses and life demands.

Dr. Wang believes that the patient as a whole needs to be taken into account, she identifies what is out of balance and then makes a plan to balance and reverse much of the illness and disease.  It is incredible to watch the healing power of the body if just given the chance to heal and recover.  For more information about her practice, please go to www.naturalhealthcalifornia.com.

Dr. Wang is licensed in California as a Naturopathic Doctor and as a Naturopathic Physician in the State of Oregon.  She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the California Naturopathic Doctors Association.  She graduated with a doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington.  Her undergraduate degree is in Industrial Engineering.
